Haridwar: The Haridwar Maha Kumbh 2021 will be vying for a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for commencing the event with the sound of 1001 conch shells from Har Ki Pauri Ghat. The preparation for this will be started soon by the Kumbh mela administration.
The Guinness Book of World Records is a refernce book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
Earlier, there is a record of 303 conchs starting a program together.
Few days back, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has announced the dates for the 'shahi snan' during the 2021 Kumbh in Haridwar.
The chief minister also sought the support of the seers for successfully conducting the event.
He asked officials to complete Kumbh fair-related preparations in a time-bound manner and inform the administration immediately in case of any problem.
The Chief Minister directed that the Kumbh’s works be reviewed every 15 days at the Chief Secretary level.
