Uttarakhand: Tiger kills 4-year-old boy in Singli village, Dehradun, family left in state of shock

In a tragic incident in Singli village near Dehradun, a four year old boy Ayansh Singh was snatched away from his house courtyard by a tiger. Despite the intesive all night search on Tuesday by the authorities, the efforts were in vain when the boy's body was discovered Wednesday morning leaving the family and the village in a state of mourning.

Dehradun (Uttarakhand): Even one's arch foe should never meet this fate. Singli resident Arun Singh, had to go through the ordeal of witnessing his four-year-old son, Ayansh Singh being snatched from their house courtyard by a tiger on late Tuesday night.

The painful attack sent shockwaves throughout the village, prompting immediate alarm, and escalating panic and concern. Upon receiving the distressing report, the authorities were informed. In response to it, SSP Ajay Singh directed an urgent and extensive search operation.

Comprehending the sensitivity and gravity of the report, all the police stations in charges and city COs were mobilised under the SP Crime branch to survey the vicinity and surrounding forests in search of the missing child. Despite nightfall setting in, the police team continued with their relentless search efforts throughout the night in search of the child and in the hope of his safe return.

Unfortunately, the efforts were in vain as the child’s body was discovered in a mangled state on Wednesday morning. The loss has left the deceased's family and neighbours in shatters. Condolences are pouring in for the family by authorities and the village community.

The death has also left a scarring impact on the village community members, underscoring the unpredictable wildlife encounters and highlighting the importance of the local’s vigilance towards it.
