Tantrik rapes teenager on pretext of healing her brother

A teenage girl was raped by a tantrik in Dehradun on the pretext of healing her brother. The victim's family filed a complaint in the police station against the accused.

Dehradun: A teenagegirl was raped by an occultist in Dehradun's Premnagar police station area on Wednesday. The girl had gone to the occultist for her brother's treatment, police said.

According to information, the victim, a resident of Muzaffarnagar came to her relatives' house in Dehradun on Tuesday. The relative of the victim took her to the occultist for her brother's treatment who was suffering from chronic mental illness.

The teenager alleged that the occultist took her inside a room on the pretext of providing her medicins for her brother and raped her.

After the incident, the victim's family filed a complaint in Premanagar police station against the accused.

"We have registered the complaint. We have also deployed our team in search of the accused occultist," superintendent of police Shweta Chaubey said.
