Sadhu's decomposed body found in Haridwar

A Hindu hermit was found allegedly murdered near Bhupatwala area in Uttarakhand's Haridwar. His face had injuries and several cut marks were found in his body, reports said.

Haridwar: A decomposed body of a Sadhu was found near Bhupatwala area in Uttarakhand's Haridwar on Thursday morning.

The identity of the Sadhu is yet to be ascertained but police have started investigating into the incident.

Locals of the area said that the sadhu was stoned to death by some unknown miscreants. But no one knows the reason why he was killed.

On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and started an investigation into the incident. Police have sent the body to a local hospital for post mortem and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, tension has gripped the area following the death of the Sadhu.
