Haridwar: Shantikunj chief Pranab Pandya and his wife Shailbala Pandya have been granted a clean chit by the police in a rape case.
The police have not found any such concrete evidence in the investigation to confirm the allegations of rape.
Last May, the victim filed a case against Pranav Pandya at Vivek Vihar police station in Delhi, after which Delhi Police handed over the investigation to Haridwar police.
In a statement to the police, the victim had said that in 2010, When she was a 14-year-old girl came to him for study, she was raped by him. She was also threatened to not reveal anything about the incident to anyone. The victim alleges that she was raped in July 2010, when she went inside Pranab's room to give coffee.
According to the victim, she was raped again a week after the incident and threatened not to mention the incident to anyone.
The victim said in a statement to the police that after the incident her health started deteriorating. She was sent back home in 2014. In 2018, She again tried to lodge a complaint about this incident. But, the information was conveyed to the Shantikunj chief and he threatened on the phone that nothing would happen with the complaint.
