Rudrapur (Uttarakhand): Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter of gratitude to a woman from Uttarakhand, who had sent a special rakhi to the former on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
Deepa Matela, a resident of Rudrapur, had sent the special 'Aipan' art rakhi threads to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat by speed post on July 28.
Now, the prime minister has sent a letter thanking her. Overjoyed on receiving the letter, Deepa shared it on social media.
Thanking her for sending the rakhi, the Prime Minister in the letter wrote that it was this feeling of taking care of each other, which makes Indian culture distinct. He added that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us to be more sympathetic towards others.
"The festival of Rakshabandhan is an opportunity to reiterate our affection for all of humanity. I hope that this festival brings happiness and prosperity to everyone's lives," the prime minister wrote.
Further, PM Modi also said that he prayed for Deepa's good health and bright future.
