Khatima: A newborn baby was found buried in a Chatiya farm in Udham Singh Nagar by a farmer.
Kundal Singh Bhandari who was working on the field heard cries when he started looking and found the buried baby.
He immediately informed the police, meanwhile a crowd gathered at the spot.
Village women dug out the baby and took him to the hospital where they further informed the state administration.

According to Dr Amit Bansal, the baby's condition is normal.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Bhuvan Jhoshi said the matter is being investigated and locals would be questioned. Whoever is responsible would be under arrest soon.
In the wake of the news, many childless couples have started visiting the hospital to adopt the abandoned baby.
