Martyr Rakesh Doval cremated with state hounours in Rishikesh

On Friday, besides Doval, one jawan was also killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. SI Rakesh Doval deployed at the BSF artillery battery at the LoC in Baramulla was killed after he sustained a head injury in the firing around 1.15 p.m.

Rishikesh: Border Security Force (BSF) Sub-Inspector (SI) Rakesh Doval of Rishikesh who was martyred while taking on enemies in Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir was laid to rest on Monday with full state honours.

Education Minister Arvind Pandey, Assembly Speaker Premchand Agarwal also took part in the procession of the martyr's last journey as the Chief Minister's representatives where thousands of people of Rishikesh had come out on the road paying heartfelt tribute to the hero.

Outrage against Pakistan was also seen among the people where they also chanted slogans.

Several social, political and religious organizations also showered flowers on the procession and paid their respects to the martyr.

As a mark of respect, the shopkeepers also closed their respective establishments.

Rakesh's younger brother did the last rituals of cremation.

Nitya Doval, Rakesh's daughter who was also present at the cremation site said she's proud of her father and that one day she will fight against the enemies too.

The ministers also paid tribute to the soldier and announced the making of the martyr gate.

Along with this, the BSF officer said that Rakesh did his duty till his death for which the whole nation is proud of him.

Another jawan, constable Vasu Raja, sustained splinter injuries on his arms and cheeks. He was deployed at the same forward defended location.
