Kedarnath: Priests have been sitting on a silent protest outside the Kedarnath temple demanding that the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board be disbanded. On Tuesday, Acharya Santosh Trivedi performed 'shirshasana' to mark his protest outside the temple even as he vowed to do the same thrice a day for the next one week.

Priests are protesting for the past few days and are also observing a fast. Kedarnath Teerth Purohit Samaj has cautioned that the protest will intensify if the board, which is constituted by the state government, is not dissolved soon. In their opposition against the Devasthanam Board, the priests said that their rights are being curtailed due to the formation of this board.
