Khatima: In the wake of upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Indo-Nepal international border was sealed on Tuesday at 5 pm, for security reasons. The international border was closed 72 hours prior to the voting day.
Polling for the first phase of Uttarakhand for its five Lok Sabha seats will be held on 11th April, following which, the police and administration have prepped up for peaceful voting.
Khatima CO Kamala Bisht said that in these 72 hours, only emergency facilities will be continued.
Moreover, 11 check posts have been built on Khatima-UP border to carry out thorough inspections.
