The special tracking mobile application has been developed by Dr. Kamal Jain, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee. This app can track suspected and positive patients of coronavirus. Geo-fencing can also be built around the patient. Not only this, if the patient violates geo-fencing then an alert is sent through the app to the system. Police and administration will get a lot of support from this technique.

If GPS data is not received for any reason, the location can be automatically obtained by the triangulation of mobile towers. If the internet is not working at a particular place then the address of that place will be obtained through SMS.

This app will also help in eliminating congestion at any place by giving alerts to the designated agency. If an infected person is using the app then it can provide information about all the people who came in his contact during a particular period.

Prof. Kamal Jain says that this monitoring system is a plug and play device. This allows tracking through notifications at intervals of 2, 10 or 20 seconds with an accuracy of up to 5 meters.

Other features of the app include multi-camera support, surveillance magnetic device, halt time and preset auto camera clicks.
