Almora: Covid-19 pandemic has changed the norm and people have been coming up with alternatives. As a groom tested positive for Covid-19, the couple married virtually on Saturday in Uttarakhand.
At a distance of 450 km, the bride and groom, Umesh Singh Dhoni and Manju Kanyal performed the wedding vows on videoconferencing in Almora district.

Dhoni tested positive for Covid-19, a day before the wedding and relatives refrained from postponing the wedding as Ganesh Puja had been already performed. As per Hindu custom, weddings should not be postponed after performing the puja.

The groom's entire family was in quarantine and relatives joined the wedding online.
Dhoni lives in Gomti Nagar in Lucknow and Kanyal is a resident of Kande village in Jainti tehsil.
