Voter list in Urdu for Lucknow electorates

Election Commission of India has decided to avail voters list in Hindi as well as in the Urdu language in the central and western assembly of Lucknow.

Lucknow: Ahead of the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the voters' list will now be available in the Urdu language as well. The initiative of the Election Commission of India taken on Monday will prove handy for the Urdu speaking voters in Lucknow.

As per the instructions issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), voters list will be provided in Hindi as well as in Urdu in central and western assembly segments of Lucknow.

Shri Prakash Gupta, deputy district electoral officer informed, "Voters list incentral and western assembly constituencies of Lucknow will also be available in Urdu. This will help Urdu speaking people read their names in their language."

लखनऊ। आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 में आपको हिंदी भाषा में मतदाता सूची के साथ उर्दू भाषा में भी मतदाता सूची मिलेग।

उर्दू भाषी वाले क्षेत्रों में मतदाताओं की सुविधा के लिए उर्दू भाषा में मतदाता सूची उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। राजधानी लखनऊ की 2 विधानसभाओं में उर्दू भाषा में मतदाता सूची उपलब्ध कराने की तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई है। चुनाव आयोग के निर्देशों के तहत राजधानी लखनऊ की मध्य विधानसभा व पश्चिमी विधानसभा में हिंदी के साथ-साथ उर्दू भाषा में भी मतदाता सूची उपलब्ध रहेगी। जिससे उर्दू भाषा में भी लोग अपने नाम को सूची में देख सकेंगे।

श्री प्रकाश गुप्ता उप जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि चुनाव आयोग के निर्देशों के तहत राजधानी लखनऊ की मध्य व पश्चिम विधानसभा में उर्दू भाषी मतदाताओं की सुविधा के लिए उर्दू भाषा में भी मतदाता सूची उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। जिससे उर्दू भाषा के जानकार उर्दू भाषा में मतदान सूची में अपना नाम देख सकें
