Faridabad (Haryana): The Haryana Police have been put on high alert after reports of sighting of fugitive Vikas Dubey in a Faridabad hotel, officials said on Wednesday.
However, he escaped before the local police could conduct a raid.
Police also retrieved a CCTV footage from the hotel wherein, gangster Vikas Dubey can be seen standing in the hotel, donning a dark black shirt, jeans and mask.
Another CCTV grab showed he was standing on the roadside with a bag, awaiting a vehicle.
The police team, however, succeeded in nabbing three aides of Vikas Dubey, including his nephew Prabhat Mishra, also known as Kartikeya and two others identified as Ankur and Shrawan. All three were nabbed from different locations in the city.
Police also recovered weapons including two pistols from Mishra.

As per the intelligence reports, Vikas Dubey had stayed at the hotel located in the populated Badkhal Chowk area under a fake identity.
Acting on a tip-off, in a joint operation, Rajasthan CIA, Uttar Pradesh STF and Faridabad CIA raided the hotel and nabbed the aides of Dubey who confirmed that Dubey stayed with them at the hotel.
According to the police, the duo was hand-in-glove with Dubey and his henchmen when the shootout occurred at the criminal's residence in Bikru village of Kanpur Dehat.
Police said that they were giving all information about the police personnel's location to Dubey during the encounter.

In another development, Uttar Pradesh Police sounded alert in Gurugram in an attempt to nab Vikas Dubey.
While several policemen have been suspended and aides of the accused arrested, UP Police and ATS have not yet been able to nab Dubey.
A total of eight policemen were shot dead while six others were injured in an ambush in Bikru village in Chaubeypur area of Kanpur on June 3. Dubey and his gang had sprayed the police team with bullets in the wee hours of the day.
The bounty on the arrest of Dubey has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakhs. Police have put up his posters at Unnao toll plaza and in Lakhimpur district near the India-Nepal border area.
