Meerut: Three youth in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh were arrested on Friday after a video of them firing in the air went viral on social media, a source said.
"After they fired back to back in the air, people in the neighbouring area got frightened. These men had gathered for a party at their friend's place. Further, out of their celebratory mood they went out on the road and started firing in the air. After their video came to our notice, we immediately arrested three of them. However, two other are absconding but police will soon find them out, the investigation is underway," SP Meerut, Akhilesh Narayan Singh said.

According to reports, the accused men were arrested within a very short span of time. "In the video, they can be seen firing recklessly, they don't even bother about the passerby," an official said.
