Varanasi (UP): To provide safety to women, a technical trainer named Shyam Chourasia from Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi has designed unique earrings which can make calls to police control room on 112 as well as fire bullet in case of emergency.
The earrings not only enhance the beauty of a woman but also acts as a self-defence tool to protect her from harassment.
The earring device will remain connected to the mobile phone of the user through Bluetooth with 112 as the last dialled number.
On sensing danger, she just needs to touch a button placed on her earring which will activate her mobile phone and dial the emergency phone number 112 of the police control room.
The police control room will automatically receive the location of the woman and in this way, they could respond immediately by reaching on time.
A battery-operated device which is fixed in the earring can shoot an empty shell and make the sound of an explosive which is audible up to a radius of 1 km prompting people to rush to the rescue of the victim.
Earlier, Shyam had also designed many such security devices for women including a lipstick firing bullet and ladies handbag giving an electric shock to the attacker.
Meanwhile, locals have welcomed this invention as it would help in keeping working women and students safer at workplaces and educational institutions.
