Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday held a virtual meeting with representatives of Bollywood fraternity over the proposed film city in the state.
Members of Bollywood fraternity, attending the virtual meeting were Raju Srivastava, Shailesh Singh, Vijendra Prasad, Ashok Pandit, Kailash Kher, Manoj Joshi, Nitin Desai, Vinod Bachchan, Padma Kumar, Udit Narayan, Anoop Jalota, Vivek Agnihotri, Anupam Kher, Neeraj Pandey, David Dhawan, Subhash Ghai, and many more.

An official statement said that 1000 acres of land was identified for the project.
The CEOs of Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway and the Bollywood fraternity were present in the meeting.
Earlier Adityanath, while addressing a review meeting, announced to set up the new film city in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
He instructed officials to search for suitable land in or around Noida, Greater Noida or Yamuna Expressway and prepare an action plan, an official statement said.
Chandra Mohan, secretary of the BJP’s UP unit, said that the proposed film city would generate revenue, create jobs and also help showcase the state’s rich heritage.
Mohan considered this project a much-needed push from the government's side.
Earlier, CM Yogi held a meeting with filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and discussed over the proposed film city.
