Shamli: The sub-inspector in charge of the anti-Romeo team of the police posted at Kairana, UP, has levelled allegations of molestation and harassment against the Kotwali in-charge.
The female inspector has lodged a complaint with DIG Saharanpur. A video of anti-Romeo in-charge sub-inspector, Anju has gone viral on social media.
In the viral video, the sub-inspector is saying,'' Inspector Premvir Rana, the in-charge of Kotwali, puts unnecessary pressure, while on duty, when I cannot follow any of his orders, then he uses derogatory words. I am regularly doing 16 to 17 hours of duty. Despite this, the inspector calls me useless in front of other colleagues. How can I help other women when I am being exploited.''
The lady inspector says that when she is being exploited, how can she bring justice to other women.
Taking cognizance of the sub-inspectors complaint, SP Nityanand Rai said an inquiry under a special team has been ordered. If the accused is found guilty, strict action will be taken against him.
