Police in UP rescue kidnapped teenager

Prabhakar Shukla, the kidnapped man's father told police that his son went to the market in Gauriganj in Amethi town and did not return. Later, he received a text message from Shukla's phone demanding a ransom of Rs five lakhs for his release. After police took out a massive search operation, kidnappers dumped near a nursing home and fled.

Amethi (Uttar Pradesh): A 19-year-old man was abandoned by his kidnappers in Uttar Pradesh after demanding a ransom for his release.

Shubam Shukla was on his way to a market in Gauriganj in Amethi town when he was seized on Monday. Police in Amethi launched a search after the man's family called for help.

Police searched railway stations, bus stands and closed all exit roads leading out of the city, forcing the abductors to leave Shukla near Care Nursing Home. He was rushed to a hospital in an unconscious condition.

An investigation is underway, according to reports.
