Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh): Social distancing norms were flouted in a hostel campus in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur amid nationwide lockdown as a group of children organised a dance party ignoring the precautionary measures for COVID-19 outbreak.
A video of the dance party has gone viral on social media.
The video is of the Utthan Foundation located at Baipur in the Devkali area of Ghazipur.
The Utthan Foundation runs a hostel for the children of the Vanvasi community. The video has been made while dancing in the hostel without maintaining social distance. In this video of group dance, a man is also seen dancing with dozens of children, sources said.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Om Prakash Arya, DM, Ghazipur said, "In such a gloomy situation, this video raises questions over compliance with the lockdown. It is clear from the video that the lives of innocent children living in hostels are being played. At present, the district administration has issued a verbal warning taking cognizance of the matter."
