Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday pointed fingers at historians for an alleged bias and said that they titled Akbar as a great leader while mentioned nothing about Maharana Pratap. Yogi Adityanath was speaking on the concluding day of the three-day working committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party Backward Class Morcha (Cell) in the district.
Slamming the previous governments in the state, Yogi Adityanath said that the previous administrations divided society on the basis of caste while his government is working on the development model provided by leaders like Nishadraj, Maharaj Suheldev, Maharani Laxmibai, Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, Jhalkari Bai, Udadevi stood for. These people not only fought for their society but for the nation as well. Yogi further said that the division of a community into sub-caste and groups have always led to their disintegration.
He also slammed the opposition and accused it of doing politics in the name of backward classes and doing nothing for the community.
He further said that foreign invaders were successful in ruling India because the society was divided. But now the society is united giving tough time to its enemies.
Yogi added that the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesh used to be imported from an atheist country like China. However, during Covid, we decided that the idol should be made in India for which the Mati Kala Board was constituted in the state.
