Barabanki: Soon after the case of Anamika Shukla, who was employed by at least nine schools allegedly without taking a single class was exposed in June, several cases have surfaced highlighting the loopholes and corruption in the Uttar Pradesh's education system.
On Tuesday, one such case has come to light from Barabanki district of the state, wherein two teachers employed in two different government schools have same set of documents. Three similar cases surfaced in the day, after a committee formed under the Department of Basic Education, Uttar Pradesh to investigate the appointment of teachers based upon the fake certificates in educational institutions of the state.
However, it is yet to be ascertained that whether this case also pertains to the appointment of teachers allegedly using fake documents in schools across the state or not.
The revelation came after errors were found in the service record of 192 teachers uploaded on Manav Sampada portal. Out of which six are from Barabanki. The news caused a stir in the district and they have been asked to appear before the Basic Education Officer V P Singh with original documents for investigation.
"The truth of the case will only be revealed after verification and investigation," said Singh, who refrained from talking much about the incident.
In a move to fight against corruption, the Yogi government has now decided to take action against teachers whose strings are linked to the fake gang. Meanwhile, Mohsin Raza, Minister of Minority Affairs in the Yogi government has claimed that the appointments made in the madrasas of the state will also be investigated.
