Muzaffarnagar: An undertrial prisoner escaped from the Muzaffarnagar district jail in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. According to jail superintendent A K Saxena, the inmate, Dilshad, fled from the prison on Friday.
"A case is registered, and a special team is also constituted to arrest the accused", he said.
The authorities have also ordered a departmental inquiry to ascertain how the prisoner could evade security and flee from the prison.
The accused was arrested on May 26 in neighbouring Shamli district.
