Banda (UP): A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father in Uttar Pradesh's Chitrakot district, police said on Tuesday.
The teenager, who is a student of Class 10, has said in her complaint at the Mau police station that she was being raped by her father for the past six months, the police said.
After her mother had died, her father, aged around 50, married another woman, who also do not live with him now, according to the complaint.
A case has been registered against the accused on Monday under Section 376 (rape) and other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO).
The accused has been arrested, the police said.
