UP Deputy CM hospitalised after testing Covid positive

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma took to Twitter and shared that he has been hospitalised as he experienced some breathing difficulty. Earlier he and his wife tested positive for COVID-19.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who had tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago, was admitted to a hospital on Tuesday.

Sharma took to Twitter and shared that he has been hospitalised as he experienced some breathing difficulty.

He was under treatment at his residence for the last five days.

"Recently, after I became positive for Covid-19, I had isolated myself at my home and was under the supervision of doctors. But I have been hospitalized for better medical needs. I am sure that with the wishes of all of you, the war against Corona will be won in the state under the strong leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. By the grace of God, I will be able to be ready to serve the Uttar Pradesh people with the same energy again," Sharma tweeted.

Sharma was tested Covid-19 positive on April 27 and on April 14, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also tested positive for coronavirus.

"I and my wife have tested positive for COVID-19. As per the advice of the doctors, we are in home isolation and are following all their directions. I urge that people who have come in contact with me in the last few days to get themselves tested for coronavirus and follow the COVID-19 guidelines properly," Sharma tweeted in Hindi on Wednesday evening.

In the wake of the surge in COVID-19 cases across Uttar Pradesh, a weekend lockdown has been imposed.
