Lucknow: While we are locked up inside our homes to save ourselves from coronavirus, some are setting an example by performing their duty. One such person is woman police constable Seema who is performing her duty at 1090 square carrying her nine-month-old daughter.
This woman police constable starts her duty at 4 pm at Lucknow’s 1090 square carrying her nine-month-old girl child. Seema, the constable, carries her baby Arna even while admonishing people who are seen not maintaining social distancing or creating a disturbance of any kind.
Talking to ETV Bharat, Seema said her husband is also deployed at the Signature Building in the media cell. Under the circumstance, there is no one at home to look after the small child. So she brings her child along with her.
A resident of Balaganj, she says there is no difficulty if she is posted on day duty but becomes difficult to go home during the night because there is no transport available at midnight when her duty gets over.
She brings food with her and all that is required for her child and also cannot afford to hire the services of anyone to take care of the child at home.
Even members of her family cannot come to her house on account of lockdown.
Police constable Seema’s family lives in Varanasi. Because of lockdown, no one from her family can come down to Lucknow to help her.
Like Seema, all other policemen are carrying out their dual responsibility of looking after their home as well as their duty and setting an example of positivity in the society.
