Basti (Uttar Pradesh): As the entire country was celebrating Independence Day on Thursday, a flag hoisting ceremony was carried out amidst gunfire in Mohammad Rashid Inter College of Basti district.

The manager of the college fired several rounds after hoisting the flag.
It is to be noted that hundreds of children were present at that time in the premises.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Kumar said that action will be taken against the defaulter.
