Unnao: Following the Supreme Court order, which ensured protection from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for the survivor and her family involved in the Unnao cases, the CRPF unit reached their village on Friday.
A Supreme Court bench has deferred the hearing in a case related to a July 12 letter written by the family of the Unnao rape survivor on perceiving a threat to her life.
Earlier, the apex court transferred all the cases related to the Unnao incident to be shifted out of the state.
It also ordered CRPF protection to the survivor and her family, after reports of the alleged involvement of her security personnel emerged in the aftermath of Unnao accident.
The 19-year-old woman, who was allegedly raped two years ago by BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar at his residence in Unnao, was critically injured in a car crash on July 28.
Two of her family members were killed in the accident and her lawyer was seriously injured. The woman's family has filed a complaint alleging "conspiracy" behind the car crash.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party( BJP) has expelled the accused Unnao MLA Kuldeep Sengar.
