Meerut: Union Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Sanjeev Balyan on Thursday said that 10 per cent reservation for candidates from West UP in Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru University can be helpful in "dealing" with protesting students.
Speaking at a rally in Meerut, Balyan also urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to make provisions for reservation for West UP students in the two Delhi universities to "treat those raising anti-national slogans".
"I would request Rajnath Singh to give West UP a 10 per cent reservation in JNU and Jamia and they will treat all those raising slogans against the country," Union Minister Balyan said.
