Uma Bharti visits Maheshwari Devi temple in Banda

BJP leader Uma Bharti said that it is the dream of Prime Minister that India become self-reliant and efforts are being made in this regard. At the same time, the government is also worried about the problems of Bundelkhand and efforts are on to solve the problems here.

Banda: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP's firebrand leader Uma Bharti on Friday visited Maheshwari Devi temple at Banda.

She also performed arti and while talking to the media, requested the agitating farmers to accept the government's proposal. She added that apart from Bundelkhand, there are some areas in the country which too are still backward and exploited, the development for which the government is striving for.

The BJP leader said that it is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India become self-reliant and efforts are being made in this regard. At the same time, the government is also worried about the problems of Bundelkhand and efforts are on to solve the problems here.

Uma Bharti told that in the case of Babri demolition, when the entire 50,000 kar sevaks were detained, Banda arranged for them to stay and eat. Because the government could not arrange for so many prisoners and all the kar sevaks themselves followed the limits of their detention.

"Following that, when I got information about the injuries of Ashok Singhal ji in Ayodhya and the death of the kar sevak Vasudev Agarwal due to the shooting, I escaped from the temporary jail here and reached Ayodhya," she said.

That became the turning point in the Ayodhya movement and of my life, she added.

Government strives for the development of Bundelkhand

Addressing Bundelkhand as an exploited area, Uma Bharti said that today I am in the most afflicted area. Apart from this Bundelkhand, there are some areas in India, such as Kalahandi and others, where there is a problem of unemployment, backwardness and poverty is there which the Modi government is trying to overcome.

Uma Bharti said that the meaning of Ramrajya is when the distance between rich and poor ends. "In this difficult times, I also pray in this Devi temple that this earth be freed from the coronavirus," the leader added.
