When investigated the reason behind the mysterious birth dates, a 38-year-old villager, Nilam Kushwaha said that an agent of Aadhar card had visited their village in the year 2012. Nearly, 90 percent of the villagers were not aware of the exact date of birth. So, they had filled only the year column of the Aadhar application.

"Since the villagers did not provide the documents which could verify their details pertaining to date of birth, they had entered the same birth date to all of us," added Nilam.

When asked about any correction drive had been organised in the village, Nilam replied negatively.

It is to be noted that the over 70 percent of the government-sponsored schemes are now linked with the Aadhar which means the villagers possibly can be deprived of the benefits they are entitled to in the future.
