Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh): Chitralekha, a 25-year-old police constable, posted at Mainpuri town of Uttar Pradesh, has been performing her duty with her one-year-old child in tow.
The brave cop can be seen at the bypass road in Mainpuri with her toddler since the lockdown commenced on March 25 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to contain the spread of novel coronavirus disease.
While talking to ETV Bharat, Chitralekha said, " I have to work for 12 hours a day. Sometime, my shift fluctuates according to the requirement. During such distressing times, it’s all the more important to serve the nation. It is my top priority right now.”
The super cop further maintained that she used to take additional care of the toddler as any such ignorance can prove fatality for the child.
She covers her toddler with a cloth when she travels with him. She says, “I keep washing his hands and always keep a sanitiser ready.”
Moreover, People of Mainpuri are cooperating with us and are following all rules of the lockdown, added cop. The police constable is grateful for the support she has got from everybody including her colleagues, senior officials and people in general.
She further urged the public to stay at home in order to flatten the curve of the deadly pandemic.
