Student leader of Lucknow University shot dead

Police said Bajpai, 22, was shot from a close range twice by his step uncle on Thursday night over a property dispute.

Lucknow: Lucknow University leader Aman Bajpai was shot dead allegedly by his uncle over a property dispute.

Police said Bajpai, 22, was shot from a close range twice by his step uncle on Thursday night.

"The accused has been arrested and the gun used in the crime has also been recovered," a police official told media persons.

Aman was staying at home for the past five months as the university is closed due to coronavirus disease.

Police said the body has been handed over to the family after postmortem while further probe is on.
