Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh): Six people were killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district in the wee hours of Monday.
The incident took place when the mini-truck they were travelling in collided with a truck.
While five people died on the spot, the sixth person died in the hospital during treatment.
Ten people were also injured out of which three are said to be in a critical condition. The injured were shifted to the district hospital for treatment.
All the passengers belonged to Lakhimpur Kheri and were returning from a shrine in Ambedkar Nagar.

According to information, the people who belonged to the neighbouring district of Lakhimpur Kheri were returning from Kichouchha Dargah when the accident took place.
Earlier, on October 31, four people were killed and one was critically injured after a car fell into a pond near Reliance Petrol Pump under Nehtaur police station area in Bijnor district.
All the four deceased were residents of the old city Rabri Tola in Bareilly.
