Saharanpur hooch tragedy: Death toll reaches 78, over 90 hospitalised

Saharanpur: Spurious liquor has claimed 78 lives in Nagal Thana area of Saharanpur till Sunday morning, while over 90 people have been admitted to higher health facilities in Saharanpur, Meerut and Dehradun.

Till last reports came in, the district administration has not been able to identify the manufacturer of the illicit liquor.

Meanwhile, villagers are accusing the police and district administration for the tragedy. They further claimed that the spurious liquor business functions in the area with the connivance of police officials.
