Saharanpur (UP): Amid all the problems that have been emerged due to the nation-wide lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, a beautiful yet very rare scene was sighted by the people of Saharanpur.

As the Air Quality Index in the UP dipped below 50, The people in Saharanpur caught a glimpse of the snow-capped peak of Himalayas for the first time in 30 years.

Amazed residents took to social media to share glimpses of the mountains.

Ashok Singh Pushkar and his family members living in the Nand Vatika Colony on Dehradun Road in the district have sighted this beautiful scene.

"After the rainfall on April 25-26, the weather became clear and when I came to the terrace, I saw that the mountains were visible," Ashok said.

He said after some time he saw another snow-capped peak of Gangotri which is located in Uttarakhand.
