Union Minister Athawale meets SSR's family, assures all help

Ramdas Athawale has assured family Sushant Singh Rajput of full support as his death case is being probed by the CBI. He said anyone found guilty will be punished.

Faridabad: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has promised all possible help and support to the family of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, even as his death case is being probed by the CBI.

The minister met the late actor's father K. K. Singh and his sister here and expressed solidarity with the grieved family. "I came here to assure the family that the entire country is them," he told ETV Bharat after meeting the family of the actor, who was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.

The minister said he was always in favour of the CBI probe into the matter.

On being mentioned the names of high and mighty personalities of the Hindi cinema world, who may or may not be involved in the crime, he said the investigation is on and anyone found involved in it will get punished.

"The CBI probe is on. Anybody from anywhere - be it films or politics - found involved will be punished," he added.

Sushant Singh Rajput's brother-in-law, who is a Police Commissioner, lives here and the later actor's father has been staying with him these days.
