Reacting on Ram Temple 'Bhoomi-poojan', Veteran BJP leader LK Advani on Tuesday said that he feels humbled that during Ram Janmabhoomi movement, he was destined to perform a pivotal duty in the form of Ram Rath Yatra from Somnath to Ayodhya in 1990 which helped galvanise aspirations, energies and passions of its countless participants.

"Sometimes significant dreams take a long time to fruition, but when finally realised, wait becomes worthwhile. One such dream, close to my heart is getting fulfilled. PM is laying the foundation of Ram Mandir. It's a historic and emotional day not only for me but all Indians," Advani added.

The Veteran BJP leader also said, "Shri Ram occupies an esteemed place in India’s cultural and civilisational heritage and is an embodiment of grace, dignity and decorum. It is my belief that this temple will inspire all Indians to imbibe his virtues." further adding that "It is also my belief that Ram Mandir will represent India as a strong, prosperous, peaceful and harmonious nation with justice for all and exclusion of none so that we can truly usher in Ram Rajya, the epitome of good governance."

Ahead of 'Bhoomi-poojan', PM Modi to release commemorative postage stamp

An official statement from Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the public function on laying of the foundation stone of 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir' at Ayodhya tomorrow. Before the function, PM Modi will take part in Pooja and Darshan at Hanumangarhi.

PM Modi will then travel to Shree Ram Janmabhoomi where he will take part in pooja and darshan of 'Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman'. He will then plant a Parijat sapling and subsequently perform Bhoomi Pujan.

The Prime Minister will unveil a plaque to mark the laying of the foundation stone and also release commemorative postage stamp on 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir'.

Hardik Patel announces Rs 21,000 donation for Ram temple

Gujarat Congress leader Hardik Patel on Tuesday announced that he and his family will donate Rs 21,000 for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

In a statement, the newly-appointed working president of the Gujarat Congress said though he has 'immense faith' in religion, he is not a 'radical' and hoped the temple would usher in 'Ram Rajya' (Lord Ram's rule) in India.

The statement came on the eve of the 'Bhoomi-poojan' ceremony for the temple at Ayodhya, an event to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, other leaders and religious figures.

"Lord Shri Ram's temple is coming up in Ayodhya. I and my family have faith in God and that is why we have decided to donate Rs 21,000 for the construction of Ram temple. I hope that the temple would usher in 'Ram Rajya' in India and Gujarat," said the 26-year-old opposition party leader.

Patel elaborated on the term "Ram Rajya" and linked it with present issues concerning common people.

"Ram Rajya means prosperity for farmers, jobs for youths, the safety of women, free and quality education for children, development of villages and economic growth of the country. I pray for the wellbeing of all countrymen," said Patel.

Padma Shri Mohammad Sharif, who is popularly known as Sharif Chacha has received a formal invitation on Tuesday to attend the August 5 'Bhoomi-poojan' ceremony for building a Ram temple in Ayodhya but he may not be able to participate in the event due to his ill health.

Sharif is known for cremating over 25,000 unclaimed bodies in Ayodhya. Reacting on the invitation he said, "If my health permits I will go."

"My father (82) formally got an invitation for the Ram temple 'Bhoomi-poojan' ceremony this afternoon. His participation in the event is doubtful as he is suffering from kidney disease for past few months and cannot walk easily," Sharif's son Mohammad Sageer told reporters.

Ravan temple priest to celebrate foundation laying of Ram temple in Ayodhya

Nearly 650 km from Ayodhya, a priest of a temple dedicated to demon king Ravan is eagerly awaiting the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ram temple.

Tucked away in Gautam Buddh Nagar's Bisrakh area is a temple dedicated to Ravan, the dark figure in the epic Ramayana who was killed by Lord Ram.

Mahant Ramdas of the Ravan temple said he will distribute sweets after the conclusion of the 'bhumi puja' ceremony in the temple town of Ayodhya on August 5.

"I am very happy that the bhumi puja for the temple of Lord Ram is taking place in Ayodhya. After the ceremony, I will distribute 'ladoos' and celebrate the happy moment. The bhumi pooja for the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya is indeed a very good development. I am happy as a grand temple will be built there," he told.

RSS chief reaches Lucknow on way to Ayodhya

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat reached Lucknow on Tuesday morning enroute to Ayodhya to participate in the 'Bhumi Poojan' for the construction of the Ram temple on August 5.

Sources said that Bhagwat went to Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Lucknow where he will hold a meeting with the office-bearers of the Sangh and will leave for Ayodhya by road by noon.

A meeting was held on Monday evening about who else would be accompanying the RSS chief to Ayodhya from Lucknow.

Former Governor Kalyan Singh will not go to Ayodhya due to Coronavirus. Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, said that former Chief Minister will not participate in the 'Bhumi Poojan' program due to increasing infection of coronavirus and health reasons.

Apart from Bhagwat, Bhaiyyaji Joshi and some other RSS functionaries will participate in the 'Bhumi Pujan' in Ayodhya on August 5.

BJP's national vice president Uma Bharti will not attend the 'Bhumi Pujan' despite getting the invite.

Bharti will be in Ayodhya, will spend time on the banks of the Saryu River, but she will not attend the ceremony. She shared her plan on Twitter and said that she has already intimated the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas and the PMO about it.

'Nishan Puja' held at Hanuman Garhi temple

Ahead of Ram temple Bhumi Pujan, 'Nisan puja' was conducted by priests of Hanuman Garhi temple on Tuesday morning.  

The special prayer was offered to Lord Hanuman to please the deity before the formal commencement of the construction of Ram Temple.  

The locals believe that the blessing of Lord Hanuman should be taken before beginning any auspicious project.

'Ramarcha' puja begins in Ayodhya ahead of 'bhumi pujan'

Ayodhya: The 'Ramarcha' puja began in Ayodhya on Tuesday morning, a day ahead of the 'bhumi pujan' for the construction of the Ram temple.

The 'Ramarcha' puja which involves recitation of 'Ram Katha' and 'Ram Dhun' is being presided over by 11 priests from Varanasi and Ayodhya. The puja will continue for six to seven hours at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

The special puja of Lord Hanuman's 'pataka' (flag) is also being held at Hanuman Garhi temple.

The entire Ram Janmabhoomi area has been decorated with saffron marigolds.

"Yellow is an auspicious colour. In Hindu tradition, yellow is used in all ceremonies. It symbolises purity and light," said Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, successor-designate to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of the trust.

He said that the various rituals being held in various temples would culminate in the 'bhumi pujan' by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is expected to arrive in Ayodhya by Tuesday evening. He will be among the five guests who will be seated on the dais along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

The other guests on the dais will be UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust that is overseeing the temple construction.

Ahead of 'Bhoomi-poojan', PM Modi to release commemorative postage stamp

An official statement from Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the public function on laying of the foundation stone of 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir' at Ayodhya tomorrow. Before the function, PM Modi will take part in Pooja and Darshan at Hanumangarhi.

PM Modi will then travel to Shree Ram Janmabhoomi where he will take part in pooja and darshan of 'Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman'. He will then plant a Parijat sapling and subsequently perform Bhoomi Pujan.

The Prime Minister will unveil a plaque to mark the laying of the foundation stone and also release commemorative postage stamp on 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir'.

Hardik Patel announces Rs 21,000 donation for Ram temple

Gujarat Congress leader Hardik Patel on Tuesday announced that he and his family will donate Rs 21,000 for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

In a statement, the newly-appointed working president of the Gujarat Congress said though he has 'immense faith' in religion, he is not a 'radical' and hoped the temple would usher in 'Ram Rajya' (Lord Ram's rule) in India.

The statement came on the eve of the 'Bhoomi-poojan' ceremony for the temple at Ayodhya, an event to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, other leaders and religious figures.

"Lord Shri Ram's temple is coming up in Ayodhya. I and my family have faith in God and that is why we have decided to donate Rs 21,000 for the construction of Ram temple. I hope that the temple would usher in 'Ram Rajya' in India and Gujarat," said the 26-year-old opposition party leader.

Patel elaborated on the term "Ram Rajya" and linked it with present issues concerning common people.

"Ram Rajya means prosperity for farmers, jobs for youths, the safety of women, free and quality education for children, development of villages and economic growth of the country. I pray for the wellbeing of all countrymen," said Patel.

Karnataka CM urges temples to perform special prayers on Aug 5

Circular has been issued to all temples in Karnataka on the directions of Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, requesting to perform special prayers tomorrow, on the occasion of RamTemple 'Bhoomi-poojan'.
Section 144 has been imposed in Kodagu from 12 am of August 5 to 12 pm of the same day in the wake of the occasion.

Padma Shri Mohammad Sharif, who is popularly known as Sharif Chacha has received a formal invitation on Tuesday to attend the August 5 'Bhoomi-poojan' ceremony for building a Ram temple in Ayodhya but he may not be able to participate in the event due to his ill health.

Sharif is known for cremating over 25,000 unclaimed bodies in Ayodhya. Reacting on the invitation he said, "If my health permits I will go."

"My father (82) formally got an invitation for the Ram temple 'Bhoomi-poojan' ceremony this afternoon. His participation in the event is doubtful as he is suffering from kidney disease for past few months and cannot walk easily," Sharif's son Mohammad Sageer told reporters.

Three-day ceremony to be organised in Jhandewalan temple

A three-day ceremony will be conducted in Jhandewalan temple from August 5 to mark the occasion of Ram temple Bhumi Puja. 

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Priest Ambika Prasad said: "The temple is being decorated as the Ram Mandir bhumi puja will be conducted tomorrow. Special puja and prayers will be offered to the Goddess to mark the celebration of bhumi Pujan."

Ravan temple priest to celebrate foundation laying of Ram temple in Ayodhya

Nearly 650 km from Ayodhya, a priest of a temple dedicated to demon king Ravan is eagerly awaiting the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ram temple.

Tucked away in Gautam Buddh Nagar's Bisrakh area is a temple dedicated to Ravan, the dark figure in the epic Ramayana who was killed by Lord Ram.

Mahant Ramdas of the Ravan temple said he will distribute sweets after the conclusion of the 'bhumi puja' ceremony in the temple town of Ayodhya on August 5.

"I am very happy that the bhumi puja for the temple of Lord Ram is taking place in Ayodhya. After the ceremony, I will distribute 'ladoos' and celebrate the happy moment. The bhumi pooja for the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya is indeed a very good development. I am happy as a grand temple will be built there," he told.

RSS chief reaches Lucknow on way to Ayodhya

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat reached Lucknow on Tuesday morning enroute to Ayodhya to participate in the 'Bhumi Poojan' for the construction of the Ram temple on August 5.

Sources said that Bhagwat went to Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Lucknow where he will hold a meeting with the office-bearers of the Sangh and will leave for Ayodhya by road by noon.

A meeting was held on Monday evening about who else would be accompanying the RSS chief to Ayodhya from Lucknow.

Former Governor Kalyan Singh will not go to Ayodhya due to Coronavirus. Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, said that former Chief Minister will not participate in the 'Bhumi Poojan' program due to increasing infection of coronavirus and health reasons.

Apart from Bhagwat, Bhaiyyaji Joshi and some other RSS functionaries will participate in the 'Bhumi Pujan' in Ayodhya on August 5.

BJP's national vice president Uma Bharti will not attend the 'Bhumi Pujan' despite getting the invite.

Bharti will be in Ayodhya, will spend time on the banks of the Saryu River, but she will not attend the ceremony. She shared her plan on Twitter and said that she has already intimated the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas and the PMO about it.

'Nishan Puja' held at Hanuman Garhi temple

Ahead of Ram temple Bhumi Pujan, 'Nisan puja' was conducted by priests of Hanuman Garhi temple on Tuesday morning.  

The special prayer was offered to Lord Hanuman to please the deity before the formal commencement of the construction of Ram Temple.  

The locals believe that the blessing of Lord Hanuman should be taken before beginning any auspicious project.

'Ramarcha' puja begins in Ayodhya ahead of 'bhumi pujan'

Ayodhya: The 'Ramarcha' puja began in Ayodhya on Tuesday morning, a day ahead of the 'bhumi pujan' for the construction of the Ram temple.

The 'Ramarcha' puja which involves recitation of 'Ram Katha' and 'Ram Dhun' is being presided over by 11 priests from Varanasi and Ayodhya. The puja will continue for six to seven hours at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

The special puja of Lord Hanuman's 'pataka' (flag) is also being held at Hanuman Garhi temple.

The entire Ram Janmabhoomi area has been decorated with saffron marigolds.

"Yellow is an auspicious colour. In Hindu tradition, yellow is used in all ceremonies. It symbolises purity and light," said Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, successor-designate to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of the trust.

He said that the various rituals being held in various temples would culminate in the 'bhumi pujan' by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is expected to arrive in Ayodhya by Tuesday evening. He will be among the five guests who will be seated on the dais along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

The other guests on the dais will be UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust that is overseeing the temple construction.
