Pilibhit: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated District Magistrate of Pilibhit, Pulkit Khare, after seeing him sincerely facilitating paddy procurement at a government-run grain market here.
The minister congratulated the government official after a video, wherein he is directing the people concerned to ensure hassle-free procurement of paddy and not let any farmer suffer on any count, went viral on social media platforms.
District Magistrate, Khare inspected the market himself and found out that the farmers were waiting unnecessarily and were also forced to sell their produce at a much lower price then they were entitled to get.
He asked the officials to procure farmers' produce systematically and must not harass them.
The District Magistrate categorically told them that it was because of their inaction the government gets criticized. Seeing it, the Defence Minister made a phone call to Khare, congratulating him for taking the government's schemes to the public.
