Raebareli: In a recent development in the custodial death of a Dalit youth in Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli, Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar has ordered an FIR against three policemen on Thursday.
The case pertains to the death of a Dalit youth in police custody at Lalganj police station on August 30.
Soon after taking charge, SP Shlok Kumar ordered a case against Inspector Harishankar Prajapati and two other policemen following a magisterial inquiry into the case.

Mohit, a resident of Pure Baiju village of Behta Kala in Raebareli, died into police custody during interrogation in connection with a bike theft case. On getting informed his family members along with villagers staged a protest inside the police station. They have charged the policemen of giving him third-degree treatment and have demanded strict action against them.
Meanwhile, Shlok Kumar replaced Swapnil Mamagne as the new Raebareli SP and his order to lodge an FIR against the three policemen of Lalganj police station has caused a stir in the entire UP Police department.
"A case against the accused policemen have been registered and it will be examined objectively. Strict action against the convicts has also been ensured," SP said.
