Prayagraj Kumbh Mela scam: FIR registered against 24 people

The Prayagraj Mela administration has filed cases against nearly two dozen people for fraud in the Kumbh Mela in 2019 at Daraganj police station. As per the complaint, the company submitted forged documents including fake signatures of the fair authority employees for payment.

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): The Prayagraj Mela administration has filed cases against nearly two dozen people at Daraganj police station for fraud in the Kumbh Mela in 2019.

The Mela administration has filed a fraud case of Rs 1 crore 9 lakh 85 thousand, against tent contractor Lallu ji & Sons.

As per the complaint, the company submitted forged documents including fake signatures of the fair authority employees for payment.

The district administration has blacklisted the agency. Police have started an investigation after filing an FIR in the case.
