Police file charge sheet against Remo D'Souza in Rs 5 crore fraud case

Businessman Satyender Tyagi has said that Rs 5 crore was taken by D’Souza, who promised him good returns, to make a film but when he asked his money back he was threatened.

Ghaziabad: Police have filed a charge sheet in a court here against director-choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife for allegedly cheating a businessman, sources said.
Ghaziabad police registered a case against the duo in 2016 acting on the court's directions. Victim Satyender Tyagi said that Rs 5 crore was taken by D’Souza, who promised him good returns, to make a film but when he asked his money back he was threatened.

"I was told that I would get good returns but when nothing happened I asked for my money and I was threatened," he said, adding that he was happy that the case is moving ahead and the charge sheet has been filed by the police.

D’Souza has never appeared in the court in connection with the case but once the court takes note of the charge sheet against him he cannot afford to miss hearing in the court.
