Bikru case accused Vipul Dubey arrested

Dubey who was absconding since the Vikas Dubey encounter in July had a Rs 50,000 bounty on his head. He was arrested from Sajeti of Ghatampur area of Kanpur and is currently being questioned by the police. Significantly, on July 2, notorious criminal Vikas Dubey and his associates killed eight policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

Kanpur: Vipul Dubey, an accused in the popular Bikru case of Kanpur was arrested by Kanpur police on Thursday.

Dubey, who was absconding since the Vikas Dubey encounter in July, had a Rs 50,000 bounty on his head.

He was arrested from Sajeti of Ghatampur area of Kanpur and is currently being questioned by the police.

Significantly, on July 2, notorious criminal Vikas Dubey and his associates killed eight policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

In a police retaliation following the attack, Vikas Dubey and eight of his accomplices were shot dead.
