Lucknow: Urusa Rana, daughter of poet Munawwar Rana and Congress leader was taken into custody by Uttar Pradesh police for participating in a demonstration organized by Congress Committee in Parivartan Chowk.
Poet Munawwar Rana's daughter taken into police custody
The demonstration led by Congress State President Ajay Kumar Lallu was against the Uttar Pradesh government in the wake of increased atrocities against women.
Heavy police force deployed in Parivartan Chowk blocked the Congress members from protesting. Many other protestors were also taken into custody by the police.
