Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of his ambitious project Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor on March 8. With the construction of corridor, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditya Nath is going to change the name of Kashi Vishwanath temple to Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
Over 200 houses has been demolished as a part of this project in the last one and half years. Over 300 houses were built till now.
Chief administrator,Vishal Singh said "a corridor is to be constructed in 7 lakh square feet of land wherein 5 lakh square feet will be kept for devotees for various amenities. More than 40 ancient temples have been found on the way of Vishwanath temple to 800 metre long Lalita Ghat. The devotees shall get premium services after the construction of the corridor".
