Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with UP Governor Anandiben Patel and Defence Minister Rajanth Singh inaugurates the flagship investment summit of the Government of Uttar Pradesh's Global Investors Summit 2023 in Lucknow on Friday. The programme is scheduled to be held between February 10-12. The mega event is aimed to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, think tanks and leaders from across the world to collectively explore business opportunities and forge partnerships.
PM Narendra Modi will address industrialists from abroad and the country after that inaugurating the event, said an official statement. During the course of the summit, there will be a total of 34 sessions and out of that 10 sessions will be held on the first day, 13 on the second and 11 on the last day. The summit will be attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and industrialists Mukesh Ambani, K Chandrasekaran, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Anand Mahindra.
Also, a discussion on 'UP Designing and Manufacturing in India for the World' with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav as the chief guest will be held later in the day. On Day 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest with discussions on 'UP is Open for Business Providing New Opportunities for MSMEs and Co-operatives' would also be attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will attend 'UP Opportunities in Excise and Sugar Industry', E-mobility, and a seminar on Vehicle and Future Mobility discussions on the last day in Vashishtha Hall. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will attend the bankers' roundtable on Uttar Pradesh's march forwarding a one trillion dollar economy would also take place on the last day.
The chief guest at the closing ceremony will be President Droupadi Murmu since the investor summit in Uttar Pradesh 2.0 is a comprehensive, investor-centric and service-oriented investment ecosystem in the state that endeavours to deliver relevant, well-defined, standardized services to investors.
