Ayodhya: Demanding that India be declared a "Hindu Rashtra (nation)", Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya has announced an indefinite fast from next month to press for his demand.
Interacting with ETV Bharat on the last day of his five-day 'Narendra Modi Tea Function' here, wherein he along with other Hindu saints discussed matters related to faith and construction of Ram Temple, the Acharya praised the Prime Minister, saying "Modi's tea is a tea for national integrity and unity".
The Acharya said that people, including children, are experiencing the new wave of love and respect for their country ever since Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister.
He said Modi did what was termed "impossible" earlier.
"The Prime Minister has done away with the controversial article 370, Triple Talaq and paved the way for construction of the Ram Temple," he said, adding that he must now concentrate to set Kashi and Mathrura free.
The Acharya said he will start his indefinite fast from October 12.
