Ayodhya (UP): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday spoke to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, to pacify the latter, who had earlier indicated that he was upset over with not being appointed to the trust charged with building the temple.
VHP leader Rajendra Singh Pankaj met Gopal Das at the Mani Ram Das temple here, and arranged for a telephonic conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Das reportedly seemed satisfied after his telephonic conversation with Shah. He was given the assurance that the other members of the trust would nominate his name at the meeting in Prayagraj, which is to be held 10 days later, Pankaj said.
The Mahant had earlier said that those who gave their lives to the temple movement had been ignored.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust set up to construct a Ram temple in Ayodhya, will have 15 members, eight out of which have already been named.
Meanwhile, Kamal Nayan Das claimed that the Vaishnav Samaj had been completely ignored in the trust and said that they do not accept it.
Mahant Paramhas Das of Tapasvi Chavni, who had proposed the name of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat as the head of the trust, on Thursday started an indefinite fast in protest in Chandauli.
