Banda: Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari has tested Covid positive today in Banda Jail. He is undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in jail. As per information, samples were tested of few inmates including the high-profile gangster on April 24.

During the Rapid Antigen test, 32 inmates were found Corona positive including the dreaded gangster.
Mukhtar Ansari is currently lodged in barrack number 16, which is an isolated zone. It is feared that Mukhtar Ansari has contracted the virus from the guards who bring him food and provide additional services.
Neither the Jail officials nor the district administration has issued any statement in this matter so far.
