Mirzapur: Two members of a family were killed and two others were injured after their car rammed into Lahuriyadh Bhaisod Balay hill in Mirzapur Halia police station area on Saturday.
It is being told that the family was coming from Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol and was travelling to Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur. The Mother and son died whereas father and daughter suffered serious injuries in the accident.
Ram Singh, who works at Amilai Paper Mill in Shahdol, was going to Ghazipur in his car accompanied by his wife Vibha Singh, son Amresh Singh and daughter Anshika. The car's steering got locked and the car rammed into the Lahuriyadh Bhaisod Balay hill killing Vibha Singh and Amresh Singh on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the spot along with SDM Lalganj, Shiv Prasad and admitted Ram Singh and Anshika to the new primary health centre in Drumganj for treatment. However, Ram Singh was referred to the district hospital for better treatment.
Talking to the media, police informed that the family hails from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
